The Sunday Brunch Post, Episode II

 DISCLAIMER: Brunch still not included.

Hey there, and welcome to the second episode of the Sunday Brunch Post. If you’re sitting there with a blank face all confused at what is going on right now, you might want to head over to last fortnight’s post, which will explain everything. Perhaps.

Mildly interesting things that happened this fortnight:

  • Okay, so I think this deserves to go in a very exciting things that happened category, but I’ve finally been persuaded, and Tom and I are off travelling for seven weeks at the end of the month!
  • I went to Bristol for the day to see the musical theatre group I joined when I was on placement, BAOS, do their latest show, The Wedding Singer. It was such a hilarious and fun show, and it’s so lovely to keep up with what they’re doing.
  • On Friday I saw James Bay at the O2 Academy, Brixton, and he was amazing. Review to follow this week for sure.
  • Yesterday I got to catch up with two lovely friends from uni. I had such a nice day and I really hope we don’t leave it so long before the next time we see each other!

Things that have kept me entertained:

  • Since seeing her as James Bay’s support act on Friday, I’ve not stopped listening to Elle King. Her music seems to be categorised as ‘alternative rock’, but I also love the country undertones and influences. She has some big songs and, as Friday night proved, an equally big voice to match.
  • I haven’t really sat down to watch much this week, except for keeping up with GBBO, Doctor Who and a bit of Strictly and the rugby. I really need to get a move on with OITNB!
  • Y’all will be thrilled to know that I’ve started reading again. Nothing really new though, as I’ve picked back up The Book Thief, but it’s a start.

Posts I’ve loved:

  • I really enjoyed Hannah’s post from Oh January, ’10 Things That We Will Never Learn’.
  • Kayleigh, aka Very Berry Cosmo wrote a really brave and inspiring post about her experiences and a book called Reasons to Stay Alive by Matt Haig.
  • It made me happy to read Megan’s post on her blog Thumbelina Lille on the importance of Organ Donation.
  • Laura from Elelibee wrote a really interesting post ‘Photo Generation’, which really made me think about whether or not I’m okay with being obsessed with taking photos. And I completely agree with Laura’s conclusions!
  • How stunning is Megs’ outfit in her post ‘Cheap Monday’s’? Definitely check out her blog, Wonderful You, if you’re not reading it already.

And finally, here’s a round-up of what I posted over the last two weeks, in case there’s anything you want to catch up on:

If you’re still with me, thanks for sticking it out to the end! I love reading Sunday round-up posts, so if you’re also posting one today, leave me the link in the comments below.

See you in two Sunday’s time, when I’ll hopefully be really calm and not panicking about the upcoming trip at all...
