Beauty: Barry M Make Me Blush Cream Blusher

I’ve been intrigued by cream blushers for a while, having seen them start to pop up everywhere. I’m not much of a blusher fan and have never really got on with powder blushes (although on reflection I think this is more to do with the specific products I was trying).

I wasn’t planning on picking up the Barry M cream blusher, but when I was on a little Superdrug haul Barry M was on buy one get one half price. Y’all know how it is.

And it made sense to start off with a budget cream blusher rather than just jump straight in the deep end and then find out I hate cream blushers. Justifying my splurges with logic and sense, as always.

I bought the Make Me Blush in the shade Rhubarb Crumble, which is a light pink. The cream blusher also comes in an orangey tone, Peach Melba, and a darker pink, Raspberry Charlotte.

Rhubarb Crumble is a really nice subtle colour when on the cheeks, and is perfect for everyday looks. I like that it’s not shimmery or too shiny, but still gives you a nice glow.

You can apply the blusher straight onto the skin, or use a brush to transfer it. I tend to put the blusher straight onto my face, and then blend it in with my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, which seems to work well.

I’m definitely sold on the whole cream blusher front, so if anyone has recommendations from other brands, please let me know! I’m also tempted to go back and get the orange version of this one.

This was also the first non-nail product I’ve tried from Barry M, and I was pretty impressed. So if you love any of their other makeup products, send the ideas my way…
