DISCLAIMER: Brunch still
not included.
As this is the first Sunday
Brunch Post of 2016, I’m just going to take a moment to say Happy New Year!
2016 already, huh?!
I’ve been loving this time
of year for blogging; everyone’s 2015 round-up posts and goals for 2016 have
been so fun to read. Definitely leave me links in the comments to any you’ve
done, because I love reading them.
Mildly interesting things that happened this fortnight:
It’s technically been three
weeks since the last
Sunday Brunch so I’m going to go ahead and include Christmas in this. YAY
CHRISTMAS. It was really strange coming back from travelling and only having a
week to get into the Christmas spirit, and it made it feel like the festive
period went super quickly. But I had a lovely couple of weeks seeing family and
eating too much.
Things that have kept me entertained:
- I got the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge 2015 CD for Christmas; it is such a great album and I haven’t stopped listening to it since. My favourite tracks include Disclosure and Sam Smith’s cover of Hotline Bling and Imagine Dragon’s mashup of Blank Space and Stand By Me. Long live the Live Lounge.
- I’ve been watching BBC’s series Dickensian, which takes a number of Dickens characters from different books and mixes them together in a new fictional story.
- The best film I’ve seen recently has to be Star Wars. It exceeded all of my expectations and I already want to see it again.
Posts I’ve loved:
- Imii from nettle&blackberry wrote this amazing post about being bold
- My gal Shiromi from Happy or What created a list of things to do when you’re worrying
- Holly from Witch Cake posted a beautifully written account of her experience with sleep paralysis
- Sam from Little Fickle wrote a really lovely post about being in love at 22
- And I challenge you to read Rhianna from robowecop’s post about January without snorting into your brunch (or any meal of choice for that matter)
And finally, here’s a round-up of what I posted over the last two weeks, in case there’s anything you want to catch up on:
- Top 5 Apps for Travelling
- Reflections on 2015
- 2015 Favourites
- Travelling Southeast Asia: Singapore (& vlog)
