The Sunday Brunch Post, Episode VI

DISCLAIMER: Brunch still not included.

Can I just say, I don’t remember the last time I actually had Sunday brunch, and that is basically a crime. Next Sunday anyone?

Mildly interesting things that happened this fortnight:

Last week our boiler broke at home, meaning I had to stay in the house for multiple days. Don’t worry, I don’t class this activity as mildly interesting; it’s more of an explanation for why I have absolutely nothing to say for myself. Obviously my life is usually a lot more exciting…

Having said that I did get to go to London last weekend to meet up with some of my best pals from uni and we had a super fun night out pretending we had never graduated. Shout out to Shaz for being an amazing host.

This week something very exciting happened as I have been doing some work experience, which I am loving so far. The work is fun, the days have sped by and the people I’m working alongside are some of the friendliest I’ve ever met. I can’t wait to see what next week will bring!

Things that have kept me entertained:

  • Tom and I started watching Making a Murderer because it’s all everyone’s been talking about for weeks now. For anyone who has missed the hype, it’s a documentary on Netflix about a man who is wrongly convicted of rape and consequently spends 18 years in prison. Unfortunately we’re going through it pretty slowly as I now refuse to watch it once it’s dark, because of various shouting-in-my-sleep episodes convinced that someone is in the room. The programme isn’t even scary for god’s sake.
  • I was lucky enough to see War Horse at the theatre this week, which was so good. It closes pretty soon so hurry up and book tickets if you haven’t seen it yet.
  • Having read the first book when travelling, I also started watching Season One of Game of Thrones this week, and I love it. I don’t think I’m quite as hooked as I would be if I didn’t know what was coming though, so now I’m completely in two minds about whether to continue and binge watch the entire TV show, or stop and finish reading the books first. Help.

Posts I’ve loved:

And finally, here’s a round-up of what I posted over the last two weeks, in case there’s anything you want to catch up on:
