The Sunday Brunch Post, Episode VII

DISCLAIMER: Brunch still not included.

After complaining about my lack of brunches in the last post, I then went and had two brunches in the space of one weekend #winning.

Mildly interesting things that happened this fortnight:

I might have to start changing 'mildly' to 'very' (but wouldn't that just ruin the sarcastic and slightly self-deprecating vibes I've got going on in these posts...), because after the two weeks of work experience I mentioned in the last Sunday Brunch, I was then offered a job. I've been loving it so far and even the horrendously early mornings and commuter life haven't got to me yet. However if you have noticed any changes with the way I write my posts, that'll be because I'm frantically typing them into the notes of my phone on the 7:43 train, and we all know that basically counts as sleepwalking. Do I get points for dedication to blogging though?

I also had a great 3-day weekend last week, which involved a meal out with my friends from home on the Thursday night, a congrats you're now employed lunch out on the Friday, brunch with my girls on the Saturday and a fun day out in London catching up with my Bristol pals on Sunday (which of course involved more food).

Weekends are a super busy time now, and this weekend a bunch of us from home travelled up to the middle of nowhere to visit our friend who's recently moved there. In fact every weekend in February is now looking similar. It's going to be a fun but exhausting month!

Things that have kept me entertained:

Now that I'm living the commuter life, the BBC iPlayer app and its beautiful download feature is my new best friend, so I've been watching War and Peace on my journeys home. I've never read the book, so I can't comment on it as an adaptation, but the cast are a pretty great selection and it's been keeping me amused on the long journey.

Posts I’ve loved:

And finally, here’s a round-up of what I posted over the last two weeks, in case there’s anything you want to catch up on:
