5 of My Favourite Daily & Weekly Vloggers

I’ll be honest, before I started blogging I was never really into YouTube. I was always behind with the latest viral videos, I wasn’t subscribed to any vloggers and I’m not sure I even knew who Zoella was.

Fast-forward a year and I watch almost as many YouTube videos as I read blog posts. I started off watching the videos of my favourite bloggers, and have gradually expanded my subscription list beyond my initial curiosity and have even had a go at vlogging myself

I watch a whole range of videos, from makeup tutorials, to fashion look books, to travel videos, but some of my favourite videos are daily and weekly vlogs. Since I loved sharing the blogs that inspired me in 2015 and 5 of my favourite Instagram accounts, I thought I would talk about some of the vloggers whose weekly & daily vlogs I never fail to watch when they appear in my subscription box.

Travelling Southeast Asia: Phnom Penh, Cambodia

After spending the past twenty-five days travelling around Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, we flew from Krabi to Phnom Penh to meet our friends Sam and Vicky, who we would travel with for just under a month around Cambodia. We flew Bangkok Airways via Bangkok, and as it was the only journey we had booked before we left home, we were pretty happy not to have to factor the flight into our daily budget.

Sam and Vicky met us at the airport in Phnom Penh and after a running around the carpark a few times trying to find the tuk-tuk driver who had brought them to the airport, we headed to our hostel, where they had already stayed the night before. It was so surreal suddenly being with two friends from home, after feeling so far from home for almost a month, and we had a lot to catch up on, as they were in the midst of a five-month trip around Southeast Asia.

14 Reasons You Begin to Hate Yourself as a Commuter

Since joining the commuter life a couple of months ago, I've actually found that the 1 hour 40 minute journey into London every day isn't as bad as I thought it would be. But recently I've been noticing little things that have become everyday routines that make me hate what I've become. These are just 14 of the horrible things that commuting makes you do...

Review: A Game of Thrones - Book vs TV

As I had a review of both A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin and season one of the TV show planned out in my blog schedule, I thought I would try something a little bit different and do a comparison of the two in the same blog post.

The Sunday Brunch Post, Episode X

DISCLAIMER: Brunch still not included.

I'm sure it can't have been two weeks already since I last sat down to type up one of these posts. Time is flying by, and I kind of feel like I barely have time to pause, look around and fully absorb everything that's going on.

Seriously though, if anyone knows how you're supposed to fit in working a full-time job, writing 3-4 blog posts a week, promoting said blog posts, keeping fit and healthy, reading books, reading blogs, keeping up with TV shows, having some kind of social life and getting enough sleep every night, please let me know the magic solution. Or if you know anyone with a time-turner...

Travelling Southeast Asia: Krabi, Thailand

Following our seven day stint on the Thai islands, we headed to Krabi Province on the mainland for four days before catching our flight to Cambodia. It was a fairly short ferry from Ko Phi Phi to Krabi, which cost around £5 each. This conveniently also included a free transfer into Krabi Town once we got there.

Review: Lianne La Havas - Royal Albert Hall

Ever since I saw Lianne La Havas play in one of the tents at Glastonbury a couple of years ago, I've been desperate to see her perform live again. I almost caught her show when I was in LA last July, but arrived a day too late, and then was travelling in Southeast Asia when she was in London in December. When I found out she was doing a one-off concert in the Royal Albert Hall of all places, I wasn't going to let anything get in the way.

Review: Reasons to Stay Alive - Matt Haig

Reasons to Stay Alive was another book that went straight on my list of books to read when we were away travelling. Not only was I trying to branch out and read more non-fiction, but I had seen the book recommended all over the place, and was particularly keen to give it a read after seeing Kayleigh from Very Berry Cosmo mention it.

Review: Guys and Dolls - Savoy Theatre

I love Guys and Dolls a lot. It’s probably one of my favourite classic musicals, and I know the show inside out, but having only ever seen amateur productions, I was very excited to see how a West End revival scrubbed up.

Beauty: February Favourites

I said in my January Favourites post that February's would hopefully be in video form, but I'm sure you've gathered by now that's not the case. As it's taken about three weeks for my laptop and WiFi to cooperate enough to upload a vlog that I filmed a month ago (and I will put it live this week, I promise), I thought that it would be best to hold off on making more videos until I've replaced my laptop.

But I couldn't let a month pass without letting y'all know about my latest beauty obsessions, could I? To be honest, I never thought I would be the kind of person who would have new products to introduce on a monthly basis, but somehow I've got another six things to ramble on about from the past month.

The Sunday Brunch Post, Episode IX

DISCLAIMER: Brunch still not included.

Happy Sunday internet pals! I'm writing this up for you on a Friday morning, so apologies if I seem a little optimistic for whatever time of week you're reading this. Hey, I know what keeping up with blog reading is like, so I'm not to pretend like you're actually reading this over Sunday brunch. And if you are? You are my new favourite person, tweet me to receive your prize...

Review: The Play That Goes Wrong - Duchess Theatre

If you’ve been following my blog since the beginning (i.e. hi Mum), you might already know that I initially set up A View from the Balcony to post theatre reviews, but thanks to student and graduate life I don’t get to see anywhere near the amount of shows I would like to review. In fact, my last review is from all the way back in January! So when the lovely people from Stagedoor got in touch and asked if I was around to go and see The Play That Goes Wrong as their guest, I jumped at the chance.
