Beauty: March Favourites

It's that time of the month again when everyone starts to share their favourite products of the past few weeks, making you want to go out and buy everything. Apologies.

At the start of the month I did a small Soap & Glory online order, which will explain why four out of my six favourites are their wonderful products. Apart from that, I haven't been very adventurous in a while, although I am in need of a new foundation, so if you have any recommendations (both drugstore and more high-end) let me know in the comments!

Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot Primer

At the end of February I ran out of my L'Oreal primer and although I still really like it, I felt like trying something new, so I ordered Soap & Glory's One Heck of a Blot primer. I was dubious about how much change there could be from one primer to another, but from the moment I applied it I could see the differences. This primer is so much creamier than other primers I've tried, and doesn't have that greasy feeling that some do. It sinks into the skin so effortlessly and it also feels really cooling.

I will 100% be repurchasing this, as it's already become my favourite primer.

Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen

I always wear winged eyeliner, but I've never found an eyeliner pen that I've really got on with. That is until now. This eyeliner is everything I've been missing in my makeup life; it's the perfect colour, consistency and shape of pen and my eyeliner game has seriously improved since I found this gem.

Soap & Glory Archery Brow Tint and Precision Pencil

I'd been using the 'crayon' end of the Soap & Glory Archery for quite a while, and I thought I was completely happy with the look it was creating until it came to editing my Weekend in London vlog. Now I don't know if it is just the way my brows looked through my camera but in some clips they were verging on caterpillar. I'd love to be able to pull off a really thick Cara-like brow, but it was time to face the truth - that just doesn't work on me.

Instead I turned to the 'stain' end of the product, which is like a really light felt-tip, and I began to wonder why I hadn't been using this side all along. It's a much more subtle look that allows me to strengthen and darken my brows without adding a thick, waxy layer on top.

MAC Satin Lipstick in Brave

Although this addition to my lipstick collection happened quite far into the month, it has instantly become a favourite. I was in need of some more nude lip colours to wear to work, as the only neutral shade I had was Velvet Teddy, which featured in my January favourites.

As I'd only tried MAC's matte lipsticks, I thought I would go for something a little different and try the satin formula. I love the colour of Brave, it's much more pink-toned than Velvet Teddy, and creates a delicate, subtle look. Being a satin finish, it glides on a lot more smoothly, and although it doesn't last quite as long as the matte products, it's longevity still surpasses other brands by hours.

Carmex Lip Balm

Carmex is an old favourite of mine, but one that I had forgotten about and completely rediscovered this month. I am forever swearing by this lip balm, and it's the only product I've tried that works like magic on fixing cracked lips and soothing dry, irritated skin.

It comes in various other forms and flavours such as jars and sticks, but it's the gel-like formula of the tube variant that I find to be most effective.

Soap & Glory Hand Maid

You can't say I didn't warn you that this post would be full of Soap & Glory products! After using hand sanitiser pretty meticulously whilst travelling, I kept finding myself reaching for some when I was out and about at home, so I was super excited to discover that Soap & Glory sold hand cleansing gels.

This stuff smells amazing and it sinks in and dries so quickly, without leaving any stickiness. Once I've made my way through this one, I'll definitely be trying the Sugar Crush fragrance.

I'd love to know which products have been your favourites this month - let me know in the comments!
